Inside Me: A Drawing Workshop with Heather Nicol
On Sunday, February 15th starting at 2 pm, we’re hosting a family-friendly drawing workshop with artist and guest curator, Heather Nicol, inspired by her exhibition, A Riveder le Stelle. The works on view by Mary Hambleton and Sara MacLean share a mutual interest in the body, scientific observation, relationships between the very large and the very small, and the sense of wonder such close-looking engenders. Using pencils, pastels, gouache, and scissors, participants will create full-sized body tracings and develop imagery that engages these and other themes in the show.
An opportunity for kids 6+ and their caregivers to share a hands-on art making experience — come prepared to work on the floor (3rd floor hallway at Artscape Youngplace, just outside our doors). Space is limited; please RSVP to reserve your spot on our Facebook event page or at info (at) typology (dot) ca.
